I am the Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for the Bear Creek Preschool.  Preschool is an exciting place to be! I believe young children learn through their relationships with others and through “hands on” active engagement. It is a privilege and a joy to be able to support young children and their families as they strive to make their way in our complex society. I have recently completed a certificate program in Early Childhood Leadership from the University of Denver. I enjoy learning and staying informed about current research related to brain development and how young children learn. I grew up in a suburb of Chicago and received my Bachelors degree in Elementary and Special Education from Northern Illinois University. I received my Masters in Early Childhood Education from the University of Colorado–Denver. Outside of school I enjoy reading, hiking and spending time with family and friends. My husband Jack and I have two wonderful children, Dan and Caitlin, that are graduates of the Lewis Palmer School District. They are both out of college and living and working in the Denver area.
